Description
Widow Jane Distillery was founded in 2012 and is owned by Cacao Prieto, a chocolate company based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The distillery is the brainchild of proprietor Daniel Prieto Preston (owner of Cacao Prieto). The company produces several whiskeys that are both sourced and distilled in Brooklyn. The name of the whiskey comes from the distillery’s water source at the Widow Jane Mines in Rosendale, NY. The bourbon is produced in Kentucky and brought to New York for proofing and bottling. They have also been distilling long enough that some of their distillate is now being released.
Taste
A blend of straight Bourbons distilled in both NY at Widow Jane Distillery and in Kentucky
