Description

Whispering Waters is an Independent Bottling brand founded by Whiskey Lab and its founders Jay Roberts and Mark Sumlin. The two friends quickly identified that many Scotch drinkers were craving something more interesting and craved small-batch releases of either unknown or unavailable single malts. This is why they decided to buy their own casks of single malt Scotch and bottle it under this new brand.

Distillation on September 1, 1989, Bottled on October 14, 2024

Brand Tasting Notes: The nose has bright zingy fruit, a touch grassy, summer blossom, and a little bit of green apple. This is elegant. The palate has pineapple upside-down cake and lemon sorbet burst out first before gentle spices of nutmeg and cinnamon emerge. The finish has fruit that tingles on the palate like popping candy- it’s almost effervescent. As it fades, tropical fruit juice and lemon sherbet remain.

Established in 1885 and based in Edinburgh, North British is one of the largest and oldest single grain distilleries in Scotland. Produced on column stills, all of its whisky is typically destined for blended Scotch Whisky.
