The core range of Douglas Laing includes the Remarkable Regional Malts: The Epicurean (Lowland), Timorous Beastie (Highland), Scallywag (Speyside), The Gauldrons (Campbeltown), Rock Island (Islands), as well as Big Peat from Islay. They also bottle single casks such as the Old Particular and Xtra Old Particular bottlings.
Douglas Laing owns Strathearn in Perthshire which was acquired in 2019 and planning to build a new distillery in Glasgow.
Taste
Known for a quick distillation, Dailuaine is a Speyside distillery that creates a versatile single malt that matures well in a wide variety of casks.
The brands tasting notes are:
Nose: Full of summer and damp hay stacks with a hint of fresh-cut grass.
Palate: A crescendo of summer strawberries, marzipan, and raspberries.
Finish: Gently toasted barley, ice cream, and ginger snaps with a velvety mouthfeel.
