Limited edition blended Japanese whisky produced by Mars Komagatake Distillery (fka Mars Shinshu) in Nagano, Japan. 12th edition of the Mars “Lucky Cat” series dedicated to the distillery cats of Mars Komagatake.

Blend of unpeated malt and grain whiskies. Malted barley distilled twice in copper pot stills.

Aged in a variety of cask types featuring American and Spanish oak, ex-Oloroso sherry, ex-port, and cherry wood

Proofed with granite-filtered Alpine water from nearby Mt. Kiso-Komagatake

Tasting Notes: Aromas of stewed plum, cherry pit, and golden raisin lead to a palate of umeshu and dried ginger underscored by fresh cinnamon and lingering, earthy mace.

Non-chill filtered; 43% ABV

This is the fourth release in the Lucky Cat “Double Individuals” subset of Mars’s cult-coveted series dedicated to the distillery cats owned by President Kazuto Hombo. That’s right: Topping off their solo careers as featured felines, these duos have teamed up to elicit twice the delight, like Queen & David Bowie, George Michael & Elton John, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rodgers. In the case of Choco and Luna, this new edition was blended to reflect the contrasting but complementary characters of the cats themselves.
