Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grassroots tradition of farm distilling. Their 100% Islay range represents the revival of these traditions, standing alone as Islay’s only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky. They do everything on-site, even their own maltings.
Taste
One of their core releases. This is matured in 70% Oloroso Sherry Casks and 30% Bourbon Casks.
The name Sanaig comes from the weather-beaten headland northwest of the distillery.
Brand Tasting Notes: Rich layers of dark chocolate, honey, festive spices, and ripe fruit infuse with islay peat smoke and classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness.
