Found North is one of the few true blending houses in North America.

We don’t challenge convention for the sake of it, but we often arrive at different conclusions. Our batches, for example, are shaped around Canadian distillate aged for many years in refill oak before being introduced to custom new wood barrels as the last stage of maturation — an uncommon approach that gives us the benefits of age without over-extraction.

Our High Altitude Collection explores the integration of finishing casks into the blending process through our blend-finish-reblend methodology. Rather than treating finishing as a final layer, we view it as another component within the construction of a whisky.

At the center of blending is controlled exploration. Control over maturation, oak influence, texture and balance. Exploration of the whisky landscape and the way flavors evolve together over time. We are open-minded but also meticulous about every stage of the process because small decisions compound.

Every Found North release is bottled at cask strength with no additives or chill filtration.
