Description

There used to be many bottlers and blenders throughout Ireland but it is a bit of a lost tradition. Two Stacks is a superb modern blender and bottler. They use a mixture of single grain, single malt and pot still style whiskeys for their blends and typically bottle at natural cask strength.

Taste

This limited and specially blended whiskey has been further finished in an ex-Bourbon Barrel that held a Barbados Rum. Discover notes of candied walnut, orange, and vanilla.

The grains and their maturation before the rum finish:

80% grain whiskey matured in virgin oak and Bourbon casks

10% double distilled malt matured in Bourbon casks

8% pot still style whiskey matured in Oloroso Sherry butts

2% peated malt matured in Bourbon casks

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Gingerbread, chocolate fluff cookies, caramel apples, coconut, creamy marshmallows, some char, and more cocoa on the finish.
